Bob embodies the term “Philadelphia Lawyer.” During his 25 year legal career, Bob litigated thousands of cases, successfully representing clients in many high-profile civil and criminal matters, including capital murder. In 2018, he secured the largest malicious prosecution civil rights verdict in Pennsylvania history when a jury awarded his client $10 million.
Navigating clients through some of the most politically-charged and legally-complex cases and crises any lawyer could face, Bob mastered the art of strategic problem solving and resilience. With a client roster that includes college and professional athletes, elected officials, political power brokers, and celebrities, Bob deftly guided them through events that unfolded both behind the scenes and in the public eye, where decisions were often made strategically in real time, dealing with facts and media coverage that changed by the moment.
His willingness, over the course of his legal career, to acknowledge and confront the struggle, self doubt, and deep vulnerability that accompany trial work differentiates him from most litigators.
ANSWERING THE CALL
Dedicated to mastering the inner game of advocacy, Bob devoted himself to a journey of self-awareness and honest dialogue about the things that hold each of us back, and how to unleash our greatest potential. He set a course for transformation from an incredibly successful legal career to a passion-driven life focused on helping others who are ready to initiate great change in their own lives.
Knowing firsthand the toll that decades spent in a high-stress career will take on the human body, he embarked on a holistic body-mind regimen that includes yoga, meditation, and journaling. Daily time “on the mat” provides him the necessary link to be present in the moment both physically and mentally. He credits the level of body-mind attunement that yoga requires as key for going beyond the physical, and allowing one to develop the mental skill of being at ease when stressed beyond one’s comfort zone.
A father of two student athletes, Bob places time with family at the top of his priorities. He feels that being present and providing his sons with the necessary guidance and feedback to determine their paths toward adulthood is the most worthwhile investment he can make. His focus is teaching them to recognize and honor their intuition and make choices that best suit who they are, which provides them an invaluable compass for life.
