GET EVERYONE ON YOUR TEAM SPEAKING THE SAME LANGUAGE

Communication breakdowns... lagging engagement... plateaued performance... stagnant innovation...

Challenges like these are common for performance-driven teams and organizations.

But inside every challenge is an opportunity to grow and evolve.

And to dive beneath the surface to get at the root of what’s actually causing the friction…

How the humans in the organization relate to themselves and others.

We’re here to help you dig deeper.

CHALLENGES BECOME OPPORTUNITIES. TRANSFORMATIONS BECOME LASTING LEGACIES.

At Iron Advocate Mindset (IAM), we seamlessly integrate the principles of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) into organizational culture, providing the keys to unlocking the unseen operating system that shapes how we relate to ourselves and the world around us to teams and leaders of organizations like the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, Xerox, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, University of Northern Iowa, University of Tulsa, and countless others large and small.

When groups like yours harness the power of EQ to transform culture, you’re able to weave a common language and framework around everything you do so you can drive engagement and performance, incorporate diversity and inclusion initiatives more smoothly, and move your organization forward fluidly and with more ease and success.

IAM helps high-achieving teams create an environment where excellence converges with emotional intelligence, laying the foundation for extraordinary results. Unpack the complexities of high performance, culture transformation, and inclusion in a way that’s both impactful and actionable.

We wrote the book on Emotional Intelligence. Literally.

In the world of IAM, Finding Polaris serves as our manual for mastering Emotional Intelligence.

What inspired the creation of this book? Initially, it was a desire for Bob to share insights with himself and others and, significantly, with his sons as they transitioned into adulthood. His personal journey unfolded with a less-than-fluent grasp of EQ. Real-time lessons emerged through his personal life and 25-year career in the law, often through the mistakes made while moving through the complexities of being a human. This offered a unique opportunity for Bob to reflect on what wasn’t working and what was essential for living an extraordinary life.

Finding Polaris is a transformative journey, guiding readers on how to reevaluate their own paths, recognizing that it’s both acceptable and necessary for us as humans to grapple with shared struggles. It’s not a traditional self-help guide. It’s real-world learnings and Bob’s own insights into the intricacies of the human experience.

Finding Polaris has evolved into the cornerstone of IAM’s content. It’s a non-judgmental and inviting structure, woven from Bob’s own missteps and misunderstandings. The book and IAM’s resulting frameworks provide a secure space for individuals and organizations to embrace growth, offering a shared context for navigating the simply complex landscape of emotions.

CASE STUDIES

The dallas mavericks

MAXIMIZING PEAK PERFORMANCE

Head Coach Jason Kidd sought to enhance the Dallas Mavericks culture and address recurring challenges to consistency in performance.

Working in collaboration with Coach Kidd in the 2023 / 24 NBA season, IAM developed a series of custom tools for the team to use to unlock players’ potential and break barriers, including a season-long custom meditation series and coaching in the principles of EQ, creating a common language for staff and players to use to communicate and connect more effectively.

Enhanced team cohesion, improved player performance, and a positive organizational culture shift. IAM couldn’t be happier to celebrate the Mavericks phenomenal season culminating with their trip to the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics this year.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission

PIONEERING INCLUSION CONVERSATIONS

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission faced difficult conversations on racial and social justice and a complex enhancement to their DEI initiatives after George Floyd’s murder.

IAM culture consulting structured the dialogue through ongoing workshops, trainings, and executive coaching, making the inclusion work more accessible, and developing inroads for welcoming a more diverse workforce.

Improved workplace dialogue, increased self and organizational awareness, and a more inclusive company culture.

The UNIVERSITY OF TULSA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PROGRAM

CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION

Head Coach Angie Nelp saw the opportunity to help her team commit to their process and embody their culture so they could grow as individuals and find sustainability through the season.

IAM developed a set of tools customized to The Hurricane’s needs, including a kickoff training to introduce the principles of emotional intelligence, a suite of meditations personalized to support the team as their season unfolded, and ongoing coaching conversations with players and staff to further integrate the key principles.

Coach Nelp credits IAM’s focus on resilience and consistency as a significant part of her team’s late season success. We’re thrilled that the Tulsa WBB team went on to secure the American Athletic Conference regular season title. Their first since 2006.

Bob Levant

Founder & CEO, Author of Finding Polaris

Bob Levant is the founder of Iron Advocate Mindset (IAM), author of Finding Polaris – Intentional Living for an Extraordinary Life, and a high performance coach and workplace culture consultant whose clients include professional and college sports teams, Fortune 100 executives, entrepreneurs, and organizations.

Six years ago however, Bob’s bio would have started quite differently… Prior to becoming an internationally sought-after coach, facilitator, and speaker, Bob spent 25 years as a Philly trial lawyer, where he litigated thousands of cases, successfully representing clients in many high-profile civil and criminal matters, including capital murder. In 2018, Bob secured the largest malicious prosecution civil rights verdict in Pennsylvania history when a jury awarded his client $10 million.

When Bob left being a trial lawyer behind, he brought with him those qualities that made him a brilliant advocate…a keen ability to listen and observe, an innate sense of compassion and empathy, and the capacity to see problems through an 8 dimensional lens. It is this unique combination of qualities that brings some of the world’s most dynamic leaders to seek guidance from Bob. His unique willingness to engage other humans with a nonjudgmental, loving, and curious voice creates a magical space for his audiences and clients to practice self awareness and share openly and honestly.

Bob’s book is a manifesto on emotional intelligence. The same open and inviting voice used by Bob during workshops, 1:1 coaching, and keynotes comes off the pages as you read Finding Polaris. The book establishes the foundation for all IAM content. IAM uses the principles found in the book to make complex concepts of emotional intelligence accessible and digestible. At IAM, our Polaris is to support humans in finding the path to an extraordinary life.

Bob is frequently asked how he went from being a successful trial lawyer to becoming a high performance coach with a roster of clients that includes NBA coaches and hall of famers, Fortune 100 CEOs and their companies, and Division 1 collegiate athletic programs. Well, Bob lives out the values found in Finding Polaris. He let go of trying to control outcomes while seeking results. Instead, Bob follows the breadcrumbs of life and leads with an open heart for what The Universe might offer him. By letting go, we are best aligned to observe and receive the magic around us.

Bob’s journey is guided by an unquenchable thirst for personal growth. His path has included obtaining a masters degree in mental health counseling, becoming a certified yoga instructor, and meditation leader. Currently, Bob is working on the follow-up to his critically acclaimed book, Finding Polaris, with a new offering titled, Living Polaris to further support high-performing leaders and their teams along their own quests for greatness.
